I finished this boys Jon Jon with the fisherman on it.  I figured the camo fabric
would be just right. It is an original smocking plate.

I'm excited to announce that we have Gail Nelson, a Viking Educator, coming to teach at Sew With Me on Saturday, March 28th.  This is a "make it and take it" class where we will be doing 2 projects.  She will be discussing design positioning and using an Endless hoop.  She will  talk about  different accessories such as feet, hoops, stabilizers, etc.  She will also demo the 6D embroidery software.  If you are interested in coming to the event, give us a call at the store to sign up.  Space is limited, so call early.

I've been working on my nursery rhyme quilt designed by Anita Goodesign.  The
bottom row is together.  I'm quilting as I go. My backing fabric has nursery rhyme
design also.
Barbara worked on a conversation heart pillow perfect for sewing enthusiasts.  Its a free embroidery
design and pattern on husqvarnaviking.com website.

I'm excited about starting to write a blog.  I think it's going to be a great way to communicate about upcoming classes as well as share instructional videos and sewing lessons.   The videos will be the answer to some frequently asked questions.

I have been working on the nursery  rhyme quilt by Anita Gooddesign.  I am going to "quilt as you go" this quilt.   I love love this quilt. I  don't have a grandbaby yet, but I will have plenty of outfits  and quilts when I do.

Debbie Glenn class

We had a great first day of class with Debbie Glenn. We had a few students new to the store. I enjoyed making new sewing friends.  We are working on a small pillow with several of Debbie's techniques on it.  You always learn something new.  Today we will be working on the last two techniques.  What a great way to spend a rainy day!
